Marshdale ribbon-cutting, EPRD tournament set for tomorrow

There will be a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Marshdale courts tomorrow at 8:45 a.m., Jeff Sweet, Evergreen Park and Recreation District recreation supervisor, said this morning. Afterward, a “Welcome Back to Marshdale” advanced pickleball tournament will occupy the four north courts (5, 6, 7, 8) from 9 a.m. to noon. The four south courts will be available for drop-in play.

EPRD board members and staff members will have the opportunity to speak at the ribbon-cutting event.

There is a signpost between the pavilion and the pickleball courts at Marshdale. Events and upcoming reservations at the pavilion and courts are listed there. The EPRD pickleball information page may be found here.

Evergreen Park and Recreation District brought about the transformation of the Marshdale Park courts this summer. We went from one tennis court and four pickleball courts in need of serious improvements to eight premium pickleball courts. The new courts opened to play Aug. 15.
