Current Membership List As of October 20, 2024

Why Become an EPC Member?

If you’re regularly playing pickleball in Evergreen, you’re already benefiting from the Evergreen Pickleball Club. EPC members and Board of Directors have been working since 2016 to expand the number and quality of courts and nets, the days and hours of playing time and pickleball-related activities. EPC supports and promotes the pickleball community through social events, competitive play, pickleball gear and communications, including this website. Your membership helps us make pickleball a fun, rewarding experience for everyone in the mountain community.

Club membership is “purchased” from the Club Store and applies on an annual-year basis (Jan 1 - Dec 31). Dues reminders will be posted in the EPC newsletter.

When you become a member, you’re automatically signed up to receive the EPC newsletter and you get a 5% discount at PickleballCentral.com with the Club Rewards code: crever.

Additionally, through our partnership with Element3 Health, players who are members of an eligible health plan, including UnitedHealthCare, Medicare Advantage and supplemental plans, earn money for the club every time they participate in a club-related activity. There is no cost to you. In fact, the funds you earn this year will pay your EPC 2024 membership dues and contribute to the club’s budget.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign up at 3hfun.com/evergreenpb. You’ll need your health plan ID card to see if your health plan qualifies.

  2. Participate in club and pickleball activities as you normally would, including playing at Wulf, Marshdale, EMS, down the hill or anywhere you find a game. Plus, attending EPC socials, clinics, tournaments, Pickle ‘n’ Potluck or serving as a volunteer at EPC events are also qualifying activities.

  3. Each month you’ll receive an email from Element3 Health asking how many times you played pickleball or attended an EPC event. Your health plan provider will pay EPC for each activity (up to 10 times per month.)

  4. At the end of the year, the money you’ve contributed to EPC will pay for your 2024 EPC membership dues.

  5. Feel free to reach out to any EPC board member or Element3 Health, 833 906-1700, if you have questions.

Stewardship, Fundraising and Tax Status

The Evergreen Pickleball Club is diligently working with the Evergreen Park & Recreation District to bring pickleball courts to Buchanan Park just south of Bergen Park. Outdoor courts, some potentially dedicated to pickleball only, are currently envisioned for a site right next to the existing community garden.

EPC hopes to raise $150,000 in a major effort to secure at least three dedicated pickleball courts at Buchanan. Other community groups, such as one backing a skateboard park at the site, are also fundraising and advocating for their interests.

At its July 10, 2024 meeting, the EPC board voted to amend its bylaws to make them more amenable to 501(c)(3) status, which would allow donations to the club to be tax-deductible. EPC efforts are based on those of other Colorado pickleball clubs that have successfully gained 501(c)(3) status. The Evergreen Pickleball Club is now a 501(c)(3) entity.

The Evergreen Pickleball Club offers neither legal nor tax advice. Please consult appropriate sources for this information.

It is now possible to donate directly to our club. Please see information about our tax status and donation opportunity on this Web site.
