Register for the Gala by Nov. 11. Tickets won’t be available at the door

Evergreen Lake House by Karen Parr will be part of the silent auction. Local businesses are donating prizes too.

We hope you’ll elect to join us for the EPC Holiday Gala and Benefit Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. at The Wild Game. Don’t put it off, because the caterer must have numbers by Monday, Nov. 11. No tickets will be sold at the door, although donations to Evergreen Christian Outreach are welcome at any time if you are not able to attend the party.

Tickets to the Gala are available on the EPC website. You don’t need to be a club member for this event. The $35 ticket covers food from Genesee Pub & Barbecue, gratuity, a donation to EChO and a raffle ticket. We’re hoping to top the $2,000 we raised last year.

To that end, and for fun, EPC social director Kathy Kincannon has planned a silent auction this year in addition to the gift raffle, a kids’ Christmas tree and a dessert contest. The auction will feature a beautiful artwork by Karen Parr, who is clearly highly skilled in painting as well as pickleball.

Kathy is encouraging bakers to enter the dessert contest with their favorite homemade cupcakes, bite-sized preferred. Party-goers will be tasked with selecting a prize-winning favorite that evening. To enter, please email Kathy Kincannon with the kind of cupcakes you will make.

A Christmas tree will be festooned with pickleball-stamped envelopes to be filled with checks from party attendees, who will mail them directly to EChO. Suggested amounts will be written inside the envelopes to let you make kids’ Christmas wishes come true.

Prizes from EPC will be raffled off, with extra tickets available for purchase. EPC branded gear will be up for grabs, along with many other prizes.

Please join us. Everyone is welcome! If you can’t come, but wish to make a donation to EChO on behalf of Evergreen Pickleball Club, email EPC Treasurer Jeri Herskovits.

EPRD Wulf gym schedule revised

A Saturday morning pickleball class has been canceled, enabling drop-in pickleball times to be extended by an additional hour each for Intermediate and Advanced sessions. Each session will now have 2-1/2 hours to play indoors on Saturdays. Every extra hour of indoor pickleball time is appreciated, although we plead guilty to being insatiable.
