Oh No! Here We Go Again - Masks Required at Wulf Starting Wednesday

Jefferson County Public Health has reinstated mandatory masking at all public indoor facilities effective Wednesday, Nov. 24.

“The Jefferson County mandate will be in effect until the county has had fewer than 50 cases for every 100,000 people for three weeks straight, and fewer than 8% of COVID19 tests are positive. As of Monday, Jefferson County had 345.2 cases for every 100,000 people over the previous week, and an average of 10.5% of tests were positive,” the Denver Post reported today.

So we can expect to be wearing masks into the new year.

But whaddya gonna do?

Oh yeah, get vaccinated.

Wulf Closed Thanksgiving Day; New Pickleball Schedule Starts Saturday

The new schedule at Wulf starts Saturday. You’ll notice some changes, especially to skill levels. Many will be relieved to see that Social is no longer a skill level. Only two levels of play will be used: Intermediate/Novice and Advanced/Upper Intermediate with Mixed play in between some days.

Seems pretty straightforward. Yet, we get too many players playing across both skill level times on the same day. If you choose to play during the earlier time, you can play into the Mixed hour, but should get off the courts as the next group’s time starts. If there is no Mixed time after the early session you must make way immediately when the next session begins. Give the next group of players their time on the courts. And, it doesn’t matter if you come a half hour late, you can’t play into the next group’s time for a half hour. There’s no such session as “My Time to Play.”

Stacking is not allowed during Mixed play. Pickleball is a social sport. The idea is to mix it up and play up or down with other players. If you don’t want to play down, don’t play during Mixed play. Simple.
