Fling is filling up
Fifty-three people have reserved a spot at the annual Spring Fling from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at The Wild Game. Attendance will be capped at 100, so you might want to respond soon if you’d like to go.
Once again sponsored by EPC member Gig Blitz, the annual Spring Fling will include dinner and a drink for each person who signed up.
Upon entry, those on the RSVP list will receive a ticket for a free drink (beer, wine, well drinks, soda or iced tea). There will be a complimentary taco bar with chicken, beef, rice, beans and pico de gallo.
Please email Cherie Peterson to reserve your spot.
Dinko De Mayo is open to whole community
Mount Vernon Canyon Club will host its second annual Dinko De Mayo pickleball tournament and BYOB/potluck Sunday, May 5, from noon to 4 p.m.
“This drop-in style event is open to all players from the community,” said Travis Ervick, MVCC racquets pro and EPC board member.. “We will be stacking paddles for rotations and will open up courts based on amount of participants. We have 10 courts for use so there is plenty of space. I will close registration if we reach our capacity for the event (approximately 65 participants).”
Non-MVCC members may register here; members may use the MVCC website. Cost is $20 for nonmembers, $10 for members.
You may bring your own beverage and a potluck-style dish if you wish. Limited refreshments will be provided. All paddles and accessories at the MVCC pro shop will be discounted 15% on the day of the event.
Mount Vernon is stepping in to host our club’s first tournament of 2024 while the Marshdale courts are renovated. The EPC Round Robin is June 8.
