Open Play, Split Advanced Time Eliminated

As of this week, there will be no more Open pickleball play at Wulf and the split Advanced time on Sunday morning has been eliminated.

“Pickleball time blocks on Friday and Sunday have been adjusted,” said Jeff Sweet, EPRD recreation supervisor-Athletics. “No more Open play on Friday and no more split Advanced time on Sunday.”

Instead, the schedule will revert to separate time slots for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. On Sunday, Intermediate play will be from 7:15 to 10 a.m., followed by Advanced from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

“Most of the feedback we have received is that players preferred the previous schedule with levels attached instead of Open play,” Jeff said.

The schedule, as usual, has been posted online and in the gym. It is also available on our club website. While you’re looking at the schedule, please note that there will be no drop-in pickleball this Saturday, Feb. 24, due to the February Freeze pickleball tournament.
