The largest EPC tournament of the year is this Friday, 8 am at Marshdale Courts. Six groups of 8 players each will take over the courts until about noon. Competitors need to arrive no later than 7:45 am for warm up and instructions.

Meanwhile, registration continues for EPC Third Annual Mixed Doubles Tournament, Wednesday, Sept. 6. Find your partner - or let us match you up with a player - and get your registration in for this double elimination bracket competition. Make sure you’re an EPC member.

Marshdale Courts Closed Next Week for Repairs

Jeff Sweet, EPRD Recreation Supervisor, confirms that the courts at Marshdale will indeed be repaired.

“Renner sports is planning to do the court repair next Monday-Thursday so the Marshdale courts will be closed Aug 28-Aug 31 . The timing could change based on the weather.  Please share with your pickleball friends.”

Consider it shared.

Looking for a Place to Play Next Week? Try The Wild Game

Wtih Marshdale courts closed most of next week, you’re probably looking for a court or two to play on.

There’s always Wulf, but who wants to be inside with this beautiful end of summer weather? Al Buenning has another suggestion.

“No more pickleball at EMS, so we are playing on two roughed out courts at The Wild Game. In addition to signing waivers, the charge for the season is $25. It is  truly renegade pickleball as the surface may not be as good as EMS.

“Plan on playing every day including weekends with play beginning at 9 am.  Some of us are thinking of playing later in the afternoon and plugging into happy hour.  Morning play can also take advantage of an early lunch at The Wild Game.

“Pickle on and on.”
