Find Your Partner and Register for Men's or Women's Doubles Tournaments in Two Weeks
Registrations for Men’s and Women’s Doubles Tournaments, July 11 and 13, respectively, at Marshdale, are trickling in. To date 11 men’s and 14 women’s teams have signed up. There’s room for another dozen or two in each.
If you’d like to play but haven’t found a partner or just too shy to ask - we get it: who’d want to play with me? - go ahead and register and we’ll find you a partner who’s dying to play too.
Get your registration in today.
And if you’re not planning to play why aren’t you volunteering for one or both days? Just let Mick Pearce know you’d like to help out.
North Evergreen Players Looking to Prep EMS Half Court for Practice/Warm Up
Al Buenning posts:
“We need a few volunteers tomorrow (Monday) beginning at 8:00 am to clean and fill cracks on old court four (northwest corner of the tennis courts). We are planning to install a half court with a rebound wall for you to warm up and/or practice your dinks, etc. There are only two major cracks, so it is not a big job. I'll have all the material and equipment to complete the job. Let me know if you can help. I plan on painting and striping the half court on Tuesday.
“And - oh yes, pickleball play begins at 8:30 or whenever you arrive. See Ya tomorrow.”
Friday’s Pickle‘n’Potluck Kicks Off Summer of Play and Stay
Last Friday saw the first Pickle’n’Potluck of the season. Players show up at Marshdale every Friday with paddles ready to play and plates to share. Bring your own utensils, beverages and stories - those that you can share, at least.
Thanks to Mick Pearce for sharing the photos.
