Ponytail Bob at Wulf Goes Down Hard; Pickleball Players There to Pick Up the Slack

Linda Jacobsen, USA Pickleball Ambassador, alerts us, “Bob Kellogg, our wonderful EPRD Wulf Maintenance man (ponytail), fell while on the roof at Wulf, broke 4 ribs and injured his shoulder.”

Needless to say, he will be out of commission for awhile. In the interim we’ve been asked to step in and help where we can, such as rolling out and putting away the nets before and after our scheduled times.

Linda adds another way we can help. “It would be really nice for us to do something special for him.” And don’t you know she did; setting up a GoFundMe account on his behalf https://gofund.me/6bb1ffdf.

Right now, $5 or $10 from a few of us would go a long way in helping Bob get back on his feet.

Time to Get Your Dink Journey in Gear; Tips for Dinking Your Best at EPC Dinkeroo, June 7

The first tournament of the season, EPC Dinkeroo, opens registration next week for the June 7 event at Marshdale. To get your dink at its best, the Dink newsletter shows you “The Journey of the Dink:
1. Consistency - minimize error
2. Placement - targeted, accurate dink
3. Spin & power - create opponent errors

Before you think about 2. and 3., your focus should be consistent dinks. How long can you hang in a dink rally? Three shots? Ten shots? Twenty or more?”

So read up, practice your dink journey and be ready for registration to open next week.
