Dinkeroo Was Cool, No Really

The clouds gave us cool cover on the dinking courts at Marshdale yesterday for the Fall Dinkeroo Tournament. Four teams of 8 competed for prizes and bragging rights. Organizing the event were Pat Theno, Jim Hunsaker, Sarah German, Jerry Beth Owen and Jeri Herskovits.

Volunteers made for a smooth-running event with line judges Bruce Flinn, Lindy Groscurth, John Dunlop and Peter Mathis, assisted by Gary Owen and Jim Hunsaker; scorekeepers Kirk McVey, John Russell, Mike Craig and Sue Dunlop aided by the cat-herding skills of Valerie McVey.

The Fall Dinkeroo wraps up our tournament season at Marshdale. Nearly 140 EPC members competed in three tournaments including Mixed Doubles and the Round Robin this summer. Consensus on the court was that we wanted two Dinkeroo events next year in Spring and Fall.
