Speaking of EPC Membership: Sign up or Renew Now and Enjoy Member Privileges Through All of 2023

Fall quarter is when EPC honors all new sign ups or renewals through the end of 2023. Your membership fee of $15 has enabled EPC to host three tournaments this summer, hold a half dozen socials through the year, raise funds for paddles and balls for Ukrainian refugees in Germany and for the AED at Marshdale, offer a CPR/AED class through Evergreen Fire Rescue, bring in pickleball pros Bill and Nan Muno for skills clinics and introduce the sport to more than 150 kids at EPRD’s summer camps.

You can register for membership here.

EPC Nominating Committee Taking Nominations for Board of Directors

EPC bylaws require that a nominating committee comprised of current board members and an EPC member at large submit a ballot of candidate by Nov. 1 for election at the December General Membership Meeting.

Sarah German, Linda Jacobsen, Roger Miles and committee chair John Dunlop are taking nominations now for the three open board positions. Running for re-election are Jeri Herskovits and John Russell who have been filling interim positions this year. Board members serve a three-year term with the option of running for a second three-year term.

If you’d like to run for a board position or would like to nominate someone (with their approval) contact John Dunlop.

Evergreen Pickleball Club Spurs Formation of BoCo Pickleball Club in Boulder

Clff Moss writes, “I speak for the entire Boulder pickleball community in saying thanks to the Evergreen Pickleball Club for all the help and encouragement you provided us as we struggled through the organizational process.

“I think the hard work is done and we can start to enjoy playing the game again. That includes some trips to Evergreen’s beautiful location. I am a proud member of your club.

“Thanks again. The Boulder Pickleball Club’s website is up and running and everyone is excited about it. Take a look.

“Note that we have a link on our site to yours. Beyond that, we encourage our members to take a ride to Evergreen to enjoy the scenery and play with some wonderful people.”

Cliff Moss and Grace Thomson visited Marshdale several times this summer and showed great enthusiasm and commitment to organizing the pickleball community in Boulder. Cliff says, “We decided it was time to catch up with our local communities that have superior courts and a unified organization for members.“

We’re glad we could help them get it off the ground.
