Meet Charlie, Evergreen's First Pickleball Baby
Allison Weber introduces us to Charlie:
“Thanks so much for checking in on us! Charlie will be seven weeks on Monday- already, somehow. He ended up arriving on the morning of August 23rd at 9lbs 6oz, just a day before he was due.
“We’ve been laying pretty low with the new baby, but we’ve made sure to get him to a few of Pete’s outdoor gigs (he plays mandolin with a few bluegrass bands in the area) so that we start him early on music! I haven’t been cleared for exercise yet, so I’ve been taking Charlie on short daily walks until I’m told allowed to do more.
“The times when he wants to sleep and snuggle are wonderful, but when a crying fit hits, it is exhausting. Pete and I are both definitely looking forward to when he can interact and play with us a little bit more, but we are told it’ll come quickly. Until then, we get to be excited for when he smiles at us or when he picks his head up (briefly).
“Since we are approaching seven weeks, I’m hoping I’ll be cleared for exercise soon so we can figure out how to come and play pickleball!
“Hope all is well,
Allison”

Call for Candidates for EPC Board of Directors
We have three openings for new board members as Al Buenning, Maureen Gehlhausen and Bonnie Lee rotate off the board having completed their three year terms. Actually, Al is completing his sixth year on the board, all of them as president. In fact he’s the only president EPC has had since its inception.
If you’d like to contribute to making pickleball even better let Bonnie Lee know you’d be willing to serve. Members will vote at the December 8 Annual Membership Meeting.
