EPC Membership Meeting Set to Elect Board Member to Vacancy

The EPC Board of Directors has called a Membership Meeting for Monday, Feb. 15 at 11:30 am via Zoom to elect a replacement for Larry Flowers' end-of term vacancy.

Per EPC by-laws members can nominate candidates for the board with the endorsement of 10 EPC members. The board can nominate candidates as well. All members present at the Zoom meeting will vote for one candidate. The candidate receiving the most votes is elected to a three-year term.

Any EPC member can submit a nominee along with names of the 10 members endorsing the nominee in the form below. Nominees and endorsers must have been EPC members any time during the calendar 2020 year.

Nominations must be submitted no later than Jan. 31, giving time for the board to vet membership and nominee’s willingness to serve should they be elected. Nominations and the required 10 member endorsers’ names also will be taken “from the floor”, i.e., during the Zoom meeting, per EPC by-laws.

The slate of candidates will be presented at the Zoom meeting Feb. 15 for a vote by members present. Any EPC member may attend, though no nominating members, endorsing members or candidates are required to be present. Nominees and/or their nominating member may be asked to speak to their interest in serving on the board.

Voting will be conducted by email. During the Zoom meeting members will be asked to send an email to a board officer with the name of the candidate of their choice. Results will be tallied during the meeting if time allows.

Notification including a link to the Feb. 15 Zoom meeting will be sent to all members as the date approaches. If you have questions about the election process or the Membership Meeting use the Contact form or send an email to Bonnie Lee, EPC Secretary at bklee62800@gmail.com
